CWA is a resource to build relationships among rice warehouses and millers. The organizations meets regularly to evaluate grading results, share common challenges and address issues affecting rice mills and warehouses.

CWA maintains a document that spells out Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that provide a framework for the delivery of co-mingled rice. The SOP is evaluated and adopted annually by CWA. 

CWA maintains a part-time staff, headquartered in Sacramento, to manage activities of the association. 

CWA contracts with consultants who represent the interests of our members before legislators and regulators with respect to issues impacting the California rice businesses.
